After more than a decade in the Banking Industry, Alan started his career as an Adviser in 1990. Since then, he focused on Fire and General Insurance and became THE expert in this nieche of the Insurance market in New Zealand.
Alan is passionate about his work and providing the best financial protection for his Business and General Insurance clients. He enjoys visiting his clients on site and ensuring that they understand what they are and are not insured for.
At claim time, Alan is proactively supporting clients to ensure thay are getting the best claims experience and outcome.
Alan continuously upskills via provider seminars and the IBANZ College. He also actively collects case studies to remain up to date with events.
Alan's Domestic clients are supported by Lisa Piper, a Domestic Insurance Specialist with more than 30 years industry experience.
Lisa has been at Genesis since 2005, working with Alan since 2007. Lisa looks after Alan's domestic portfolio and has had more than 30 years experience in the Insurance industry, and during that time worked in most areas of General insurance, including claims, domestic and commercial underwriting and risk management. Lisa’s wide experience in Insurance ensures that clients are looked after well and that risks are underwritten correctly.
