Investment

Ask Warren Buffett for the single most powerful factor behind his investing success, and he’d respond “compound interest".

Our Investment Advisers can help you make the most of every dollar you earn, start making your money work for you.

Investing is very different to saving as investments involve risks – yes, you can gain financial profit but there is equally a likelihood to lose money. Are you prepared for both?

Genesis Advice offers a range of different Investment vehicles, all designed to help you grow your wealth to secure your long term financial security. We can draw from best of breed fund managers for your Investment portfolio, your KiwiSaver, Wealthpoint designed Investment Portfolios or help you build your own bespoke investment solution. We would sit down with you to learn more about your circumstances, your needs and objectives, your risk tolerances and then report back to you with our recommendations.

We recommend you get professional advice from a Financial Adviser at this stage, to work through what types of investments will best help you achieve your financial goals [short and long term] and get you where you want to go in life. With an investment strategy in place you’ll be able to choose investments that are in line with your risk appetite and fit with the direction you’ve set for yourself.

Your Appetite for Risk matters!

You could opt for an investment with higher risk, but potentially have higher returns over the longer term, OR you could be more conservative with your investments. Rather than going for one or the other, you could also have a mixture of both [high risk and conservative] instead.

There are a number of different investment options, including:

  • KiwiSaver

  • Through a private managed fund

  • Term deposits

  • Shares and bonds, or

  • Property.

Before you make any investment, we recommend that you do some research, either on your own or by seeking professional advice from one of our Investment Specialists to make sure that your investment choices match your financial goals.

Once you have made a decision on an investment option, be sure to read all accompanying documentation, such as the investment statement. This will ensure you’re well aware of all the pros and cons surrounding the investment you’re making.

Our Investment Specialists David Lowe, Ed GlennieMax Nieper and John Byrne look forward to assisting you.
